Well the GTU is stranded on the side of the road :-P Waiting for dad to get home so I can get the truck and trailer the car back here.

Aparently the ball joint broke :-/ enough where she cant drive it home. So befor I get started on that does anyone know a good place off hand to get the replacement part? Any tips as well?

Well im into it and have 1 issue.

I cant get the spline end of the ball joint out! I have the lower part out and the screw out on the spline I beat a big screw driver into the clip part to open it some and beat hard as I could with as much room as I have with a 3lb sledge on it I also used a chisel/impact peg and beat onto that no budge at all. So what’s the secret?

I used lots of TC11 solvent to break up the rust and corrosion on mine. Then used a tool that was made for pushing the pins out that I got at Harbor Freight. For me the TC11 worked better that liquid wrench or any of the other solvents out there.

Oh, and Victoria British has ball joints for a reasonable price and their service is great.

Allright I got it. Dad laughed at me said you have to use a fork, I said we dont have a air hammer, he said there is a fork on the bottum of the big snapon tool box use the sledge so I did, then beat it from the top with a chissle thingy and hammer and it poped out. Don't get me wrong I had to hit HARD meany times was a paint but ehh it is all fixed. :-p
