balance weight of S5 internals vs S4 internals

in my new engine i will have S5 rotors in my S4 block with the counterweight from S5. i was wondering if there is any difference between the S4 and S5 in the eccentric shaft and the flywheel.

i was hoping that Ted might have this in his table of weights

The front counterweight and flywheel must be from the same series as the rotors.Or if you use a non standard flywheel you need the rear counterweight from the automatic of the same series.

I thought that if you get an aftermarket flywheel it comes w/ a rear counter weight?

Six Rotors is right - you need to match the front counterweight and rear counterweight if you're swapping rotors.&nbsp If you're using stock flywheels, they have to match years (1986-1988 versus 1989-1991).

Are you using an aftermarket lightened flywheel or STOCK flywheel???

Eccentric shafts don't matter.

A lightened flywheel would be anywhere from $350 - $600 brand new from vendors.

so if your using S4 housings and using a aftermarket flywheel and 89+ rotors you need the 89+ front conterweight, and the 89+ rear counterweight right?

Yes, if you're using an aftermarket lightened flywheel.&nbsp You can get away with a 89+ stock flywheel, if you can get your hands on one.

(The rotors housings don't matter.&nbsp Neither does the eccentric shaft...)

the s5 flywheels are lighter than the s4's, so they need to have the corresponding front and rear counterweights. Example is I am running an s4 engine with and s5 flywheel and counterweights(front and rear). The rotors and eccentric shaft should be fine. I am still running the s4 rotors and shaft.
