Bad Wiring Harness / Connector source - 86 NA (could apply to any model)

Okay, given that the average proce for the Emissions Wiring Harness seems to be about $1200, does anyone know who the source for the connectors is? I've heard it's Hitachi, but I'm not sure and I don't know how to get hold of a catalog to make comparisons.

I'm planning to map the harness, use the diagrams and the map and build a new one with super high-temp wire. I just don't have new connectors.

If it works out well and I can make a few working samples within a reasonable time, I might start selling them (for a LOT less than factory, and with wire rated for very high temps, like 2000+ Farenheit).

All kind of depends on the connectors. Also, if anyone has a source for new harnesses that isn't insanely expensive, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

Thanks
