Bad OMP?

Hey guys, I think my OMP is bad. I got my engine rebuilt and have about 6,000 on it. My engine is from a 88 n/a convertible. My car ONLY smokes when I let it sit and idle for about 5-10 minutes. But it smokes ALOT, medium clouds of smoke, and its oil smoke, but when I press down the gas it goes away. Could this be a cause of a bad OMP and how can I check? Thanks!

New motor do that. let it break in. Who did the rebuild? I dont think it has anything to do with the OMP.

6k miles isnt a "new engine"

my guess would be inner/outer rotor seals?

Ya after I typed that I realized that its not a new motor. And I was to lazy to delete it, thats why I ask who did the rebuild.

Check your OMP throttle linkage first, make sure it's not hanging up anywhere...

There are procedures in the Haynes and FSM for checking the output of the OMP...
