Bad Hesitation

When im driving and i hit like 4500-5000 rpms if im accelerating even half way fast it likes hesitates and jerks like it doesnt wana give power then if i shift it stops but i cant really go past 4500-5000 without being scared something gonna go wrong, ive heard it could be a clogged cat, timing, and idk what else. so if anyone has an idea of which i should check would be greatly appreciated.

Tony

His sig says TII, 87. Have an exhaust leak anywhere or anything? Are you overboosting and hitting fuel cut??

I don't know much about turbos, but that's my guesses, someone else will probably be able to help a bit more. Search while you wait for responses, something helpful might turn up.

Good luck!

fuel cut begins at 8.6psi so more than likely it is what is happening, keep your foot off the throttle until you install a fuel cut defenser, Rtek chip or standalone or you may need a new motor in the near future.

My car had badd hesitation, so bad it was like hitting a wall around 4000rpm - sometimes lower... turned out to be hella carbonation in the exhaust.

My non turbo has a lil hesitation between 3500 and 4000, but goes away as soon as i pass 4000, and continues to pull.

have you tried sanding the ground wire that links to the firewall with 220 sandpaper?
I sanded a part of the firewall and the metal and bolt that hold the wire to the firewall and that got rid of a lot of hesitation for me.
