Exclamation Will an N333 ecu work with 87 T2 harness and low imp injectors?

I've recently swapped my four 88T2 550 high imp injectors for 2 low 550's and 2 low 720's and and 87T2 harness. All things seem to match up, but Do I need to change My N333 ECU? Please help if you know.

Only if the 87 harness has the built in solenoid resistor which is located on the fender below the air filter assy. I'm talking the early 87 harness made for low impedence cars NOT the later half of 87 that used high impedence injectors and NO solenoid resistor.

Again, it is NOT the ECU that MIGHT need changes. It is whether or not your 87 harness has the solenoid resistor which is 2X6ohm resistors built in it. See the FSM, Fuel Section, 87-=88 FSM

Thank you. It is an early 87 harness and i do not have the solenoid resistor. Looks like I need to find one though.

Do you have a problem comprehending what HAILERS said?

You do NOT need to have the year-specific engine harness.

you need to solder in 4 resistors, you can find 10 watt/10amp resistors at radio shack. one resistor in line to each injector driver circuit wire off the ECU.

what he means is your harness does not have the jumper for the resistor pack that came on early models so you need to improvise like i mentioned above.
