Thumbs down bad day at the track...TII trans = effed

well i went to the track tonight (1/8th mile) with some racegas and my buddy's 245/50/16 nitto555r2's expecting to run some nice 8.60's or 8.70's. my trans mounts have been broken for a long time. i guess this combined with the wheelhop was a very bad combination.
my car wheelhopped very violently at the track. on my fourth run i broke both my BanzaiRacing polyurethane motor mounts, yes both... (i just figured out the horrible flaw in their design and i want my stock ones back) and somehow, my transmission is now fucked. it got stuck in 1st gear right after both the motor mounts broke. so i pushed in the clutch and coasted back around to the staging lanes. i finally got it out of gear after a whole lot of forcing the shifter and now the only gears it will go into are 1st and 4th... no 2nd,3rd,5th,reverse... has anyone ever had this happen to their trans? i'm assuming i'm just gonna have to buy another one

your tranny is like nearly gone -
here is what you can do, car running and moving (make sure no one is around as you might end up creaping) get it going about 20 or so push the clutch in and try to go into third - do not force as it will not help, make small circles counter clockwise right near the entry point of third. it will fall in at some point and give you a full pattern back. I believe you have a syncro that is toast

they are a big pulyurethane bushing and they have a bolt going straight through the middle. so ALL the stress is totally taken by the bolt and none by the pillow. the ends of both bolts just snapped right off...

Probably wouldn't have happened if your tranny mounts weren't fuqt to begin with. Not really a good idea to race when your car is broke, cuz it only breaks more things.

If you read the thread about these mounts, you'd see that I pointed this problem out. Those mounts are garbage.
