Bad coil pack?

Ok my 86 was in a front end collision. So I'm rebuilding the whole front end.The car is running,But I noticed that the front coil pack is arching off it's self.What could cause this?Bad plugs?Bad wires?Bad coil pack?

The Coil Pack. Was It damaged at the time of the collision? "Arching off Itself". Not sure what you mean here...

I'm not sure what you mean either.

The coil is grounded via the mount, so if the coil isn't mounted properly or if you are handling the coil while the car is running it will arch to the nearest ground.

I think the coil was damaged during the wreck...I have most of my front end torn off the car now..are there any grounds around the front bumper cover?

The whole chassis is grounded.
