What kind of fuel are you using??? and how high are you taking it up to do you have a cat on the car or not, what are the mods??? All I know is exhaust and I think I've seen header somewhere on your posts... like I said with a stock Cat on your car most likely no flames...

i have no cats, RB header, stock exhaust. i use 87 octane fuel! oh i beat the **** out of the car heres my what i have/drift thread https://www.rx7club.com/drifting-226/i-wana-driftttt-916760/

He is talking about the dashpot, and yes it is there to control afterburn by not allowing the throttle blades to slam shut.
