As much as I think my car is fast, it's not really. Well in stock form at least.

I have been looking at the dyno graphs on clubsi and I must say it's very impressive. 141hp to the wheels stock. 155hp to the wheels with just I/H/E. 178hp to the wheels with engine work.

No wonder they beat us NAs.
They are around 2500-2600lbs which is 200-300 lighter then us which doesn't help.

On the 7, full exhaust would probably tie them. What would put use over the edge short of a nos kit?

Maybe stripped interior?

There is alot of cars faster than ours; and there is alot of cars faster than those' and then there are those cars that are even faster yet. In the end the only thing that matters is if your car has enough power for your needs. I personaly do not need 300 horsepower; I can get myself into enough trouble with the minimal amount of power I have now.

Yes, true, but it feels terrible knowing a civic walked away from you.

I would say stripping your car should be one of the first things you do cuz its easy & free. You can also get intake & pulleys. Try the TB mod. Just talk to Mazdaspeed7 first off. After you do all he has done go for a shot of NOS & you should be plenty happy.

Until you drive the civic... and it's FWD, unbalanced, economy car feel.

I'd rather be a little slower than drive an economy car or Japanese beetle like any year civic.

Rx7s are not drag cars from the factory, they are made for the twisties, take a stock or even modified Civic on the twisties and watch that peice loose sight of your tail lights. Any car can be made fast in a straight line, even sorry *** economy cars like Civics. Have Phun

YOu can't just throw on a few mods and hope to get power. It is a system. I have seen 400 horse power n/a 7s. They designed it from the ground up. fuel and air, exhaust, ignition, port timing everything works together.
I would say adding lightness to your car is a great frist start. take off all that crap you don't need under the hood first. then go to the inside. and don't forget the padding under the carpet.
