there is no need to run the lines through the BAC valve. you can pull those 2 lines off (it'll spray) and connect them with another small pipe or something, unless it's the hose that is leaking. if so you can just change that.

Sorry to abduct your topic, but I have a quick question.
I'm ditching pretty much everything but the Alt on my car. I'm wondering if I ditch the A/C, can't I get rid of the BAC? Will it be hard to adjust the Idle w/o it? Block-off Plate? THX.

I think it would, once tried to adjust the idle w/o the bac, drove the car with the bac disconected and run roughly and a very low idle ieven wasn't getting the 3k when start cold, so just plug it back and everything went back to normal.

i have taken mine off, for the first few days it was not being nice, stalling running rough and what not. After countless adjustments, i have gotten the car to idle at 750 rpm once warm, it takes about 5 min of holding the throttle up manually and then it idles fine.

What was your purpose of removing the BAC Valve?

The BAC valve is what the computer uses to maintain a smooth idle.... has NOTHING to do with emissions. Where do people come up with this crap??
The BAC valve is capable of much more finite adjustments to the air entering the engine at closed throttle. So, this "bypassed" air is directed around the throttle body into the intake manifold allowing for a smooth idle. Elimination of the BAC valve will force the engine to idle through the throttle body and will idle like **** cold because of it.
