BAC plug wire broken!

BAC plug wire broken!

So I went to go adust my TPS and as I was just gerally looking around I noticed that one of the two wires going into the BAC plug is completely broken off. Is this rendering my BAC useless?

Splice the wire back together. Do not let the wire ground out inbetween time.

it broke off right at the connector, so Im gonna have to get out the soldering iron it seems
