BAC Intake hose

I went to autozone today because my BAC intake hose is split on both sides and my car's idle fluctuates because of it, I think I'm losing some boost because of it as well.
Hopefully, otherwise I have to look for my boost leak
Now when I got there I was holding the intake hose and the guy told me it was a dealer hose and told me that no other hose would work.
I think he's incompetent and any other hose that size will simply bend into place and it will be done.
What's the real scoop? And whats the size of that damn hose?

He's just being dumb. All you need is a short length of (IIRC) 3/4" heater hose and a pair of clamps and you're set.

thankyou. I'll do that tomorrow. I have yet to find a shop that has any creativity or problem solving ability. I guess it varies person to person, but thanks again.

for a short term solution you can also get some black RTV (if the cuts aren't too big). spooge some on/ in the split, let it set for about 10 min, should be good to go.
