Coolant leak under throttle body - How to get there?

Hi guys,

I've located a coolant leak under the throttle body and looks like a mega pita to get to. Just wondering if there's any tips, tricks or if it's not a long shot any DIY guides out there on how to get underneath there?

Stating the obvious, in large part you just remove a series of 12mm bolts to pull the throttle body to get to it. Just eyeballing and some mechanical reasoning is all you need.

Although for an NA, this might help as the process and things to watch for are very similar:

PS I found the above thread with about 3 minutes of using the search function of this web site. The more you use that function, the better you get at finding what you're looking for.

You might want to remove the uim, but after the throttle body, secondary fuel rail, vac hoses and wiring
The leak is prolly either the rear iron coolant nipple, or up on the thermowax
Either way should only take about a half hour to fix it
Unless its from your heater core
Good luck

I had that same hose crack and dump all my coolant out.

I just removed the UIM and replaced it. Took about 45min start to finish.

Gave this another shot and tried to remove the UIM with no success.

So far I've removed the intercooler, accelerator cable, 4 nuts and a long bolt on the RHS, a nut on the LHS that's connected to a bracket and any obvious electrical connectors and pipes/hoses.

I have tried to pry and wiggle the UIM off but it's not going anywhere. Have I missed something? Or is there a trick to getting this thing off easily?

Any help appreciated!

If all the hardware is loose then try a deadblow hammer or maybe a nylon or brass mallet.
The vibrations should knock it loose from the gasket that its stuck to
