It'll probably flow better than the stock system but the cats still impair the flow. If you want a free-er flowing exhaust and have to past emission this could be a good choice. The way I see it it's kind of a trade of between the stock system and a full "open" exhaust.

If you have an aftermarket exhaust it could reduce the noise but not as much as a good pre-silencer.

That unit is the premium highflow cat designed specifically for rotaries. Rotary Peformance claims that the Bonez cat is specifically designed to withstand rotary heat and will outlast all other cats. I live in Dallas and have spoken to them about this. They say that the Bonez cat will last maybe a year or two longer than a regular cat.

Since you are in the Republik of Kalifornia, you need the two cat unit to comply exactly with the law.

You could also do what others have done and hollow out the precat then weld in the the Bonez converter blank in place of the original main cat. This setup will pass a sniffer test in any state and MAY pass visual in CA.

I have the Superflow system with the presilencer. When I purchased the car, there were no mufflers on it, just the Superflow. It sounded pretty good but at high rpm, it got very very loud. It was like having a nail driven into your eardrums.

I added a couple of turbo mufflers at the rear and now it sounds awesome with a deep low soft rumble at low rpms. It does not get sharp and shrill at high rpm's. The tone stays low and deep, but you know it is a rotary.
