Where can you buy one from? Can you easily wire it to light up in a non RX8?

 

yes its probably just a positive and a ground wire.

 

There were some Rx7 seats on ebay not too long ago. I would have like to have those. Shipping was like $150 though.

Yeah, its just two wires like jacob said. I used some wire taps, even though I really despise them, and tapped into the illumination light between the cig lighter and the ashtray. I actually got the +12v from the light, and used the ashtray as the ground. Theres very little room to work with, and if I could have pulled the wires out and soldered them in, I would have. However its almost impossible to pull them forward, and after much wiggling I thought that is I pulled them out the back I might not be able to feed them back though.

No. Its like buying items in bulk. The more people that join in, the less they can sell them for. Almost any large purchase operates this way. Instead of one person buying it all, everyones buy a part of a big package to get the savings.

Its like if you wanted to buy a LED. Say theyre 25 cents. If you buy more than 2 theyre 20 cents each, and 10 or more theyre a dime. So if you find 9 more people that want them, than you can all go in on it and get it for a cheaper price than you would seperately.
