AWS hose issue

Ladies & gentlemen, once again I require some assistance.

This goes back to a previous post about the AWS: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/part-question-urgent-621918/

There are two hoses that connect: the upper (p/n 13-762) & the lower (p/n 13-752c) - and the dealer for the part is lined up.

The upper is fine. However, the lower is not, and needs to be replaced, badly!

The hose goes out of the AWS, and goes between the intake and engine. So my concern comes from not knowing if I need to remove the intake to get to that hose.

So, can I replace this hose (without removing a bunch of stuff), or should I take it to someone?

If I can remove it, how? (FSM not helpful on this issue, as far as the hosing goes)

or would it be better to cap everything, and disconnect it?

(by capping, I mean sealing the hoses at the ends, as well as the solenoid, and disconnecting the solenoid's wire harness.)

See the attached image. If the large-diameter hose near the center of the picture is the one you refer to, it is connected to a metal "pipe" under the upper manifold. So, unfortunately for you, that means you need to remove the upper manifold to replace the hose. Might as well replace the other pipe attached to the metal pipe that connects to the air intake hose. (This is an S5 NA in the image. S4 and/or TII may be different.)

That's hilarious. So basically I need to plug it up, since removing the UIM is out of my league.

Any recommendations on this?

Equipment, parts?

Or can I just seal off the hoses where they would connect up?
