As the weather has cooled down considerably where I live I have noticed the AWS does not work like it normally is supposed to.If the weather warms up and I start the car for the first time it will go through the normal process of reving up to 3000 rpm for 17 seconds like clockwork and then retarding back down.This is the second winter that this has occured.What gives and does this adversely affect other engine operations.

 

AWS isnt good for the car during cold starts so it's better that it's not working.
