The 323 has a transverse layout, no way to fit a rotary that is front to back to the tranny/transaxle.

Nope, never ever was there a factory sold to the public 1st, 2nd, or 3rd gen AWD. Only custom race set ups. Steve Millen I believe pioneered a P-port all wheel drive 1st gen for Pikes Peak races and maybe Rally. Do a search, the info is out there if you want to know more.

There were not any factory AWD 1st, 2nd or third gen RX-7s. This of course can easily be found in the Specifications sticky thread found at the top of this section.

But several people made and raced AWD 2nd gens. Millens was the most famous.

I also asked about this and I think the car ended up being bought and abandon. Its sad really

I asked if it was possible for a 4g63 engine and drive train in an FC but they showed me this. I would love to do a rotary AWD and I think in the future I will

AWD rotary powered sports car? why?... unless it is for a specialized application (such as the off road race car) I wouldn't figure the compromise in handling would be worth it?

and just because I have my name in red italic letters should not automatically command respect. It just means I was dumb enough to say yes, when other admins and mods above me asked me to help out

I was trying to be sarcastic lol.

Back on topic, Ive heard that the drivetrain Millen used on his 4WD FC used a Mazda pickup tranny (not REPU). I dont know if the bell housing would mate up, but this makes since to me.
