Avon slicks for solo??

I have the opportunity to buy some Avon slicks mounted on 13x7 wheels. The rear slicks are approx 9" wide the front are approx. 7" wide. They will be on my slightly modded fc N/A (86, intake, porting, exhaust) .They`ll cost me $650 CDN. I`d like too use them for solo, but I`d like more opinions/experience from people who may have gone this way.

My question is are they too much grip for my car?? Or any other problems??

1) 13" wheels won't fit over your brakes.

2) Never put wide slicks on a car unless your spring rates have been raised considerably over stock.

Thanks for responding. 13" wheels have been fitted to the 4 bolt (which I have),on the 5 bolt they won`t fit over the brakes. And the suspension has been upgraded as well. I`m taking a wheel with a tire mounted to see if it does fit, just to make sure.

Edit:
Change of plans. with these tires I`d be in mod class!! No good!! Thanks for looking.
