Auxillary ports....haha

I know im gunna get jumped all over about this but ive done tons of searches and checked almost every place imaginable for information.(alot of the threads have websites posted that no longer exist) I have a 86 N/A and my question is there any possible way to have correct operation of my auxillary ports with out an air pump and no cat. I dont wanna wire them open because of low end torque loss which this car cannot afford. Take it easy on me and thanks for any info

Buy an exhaust system that has a pressure hookup for the auxilary ports. There are several out there that will retain the backpressure activated ports as long as you have some form of a cat back.

I should also mention that im not gunna buy a exhaust but fabricate my own. For that exhaust pressure hook-up, is that nothing more than a "nipple" on the exhaust pipe? and with a free flowing exhaust i doubt there will be enough pressure to operate the auxillaries

One option is to leave the air pump on, use the "exhaust" (relief) hose from the air control valve, "t" the pressure line from the aux ports into it... mine open around 3k rpm now, so I get 2 seperate "surges", the secondary injectors kick in at about 4k, messes with the boost/pressure sensor's head, though, so you'll get the code every time ya kick it in, not a big deal for me, though, considering they weren't working much at all with my open exhaust....

no, it would not be nipple on the side of a pipe, but an open tube into the middle of the exhaust stream.

The only way to activate the aux ports is to use some sort of air pump, or a pipe specificly designed to do that.
