Autronic, Mallory and M&W info?

I was thinking of going with mallory since its very powerful and has a dual stage revlimiter but it seems I cant hook both trailing and leading coils to it. I know its said to only hook the leading up but if i can hook all coils up i would rather do that.

I want to energize the trailing coils as well from the same box. I know you can do this with M&W Pro 14 Rotary pack but it also seems weak compaired to others with only 105milliJ of spark energy?

here are my questions:

Is Mallory Hyfire VI a 4 channel Amp?
Does Autronic Feature a single or dual stage revlimiter?
Does M&W Feature a single or dual stage revlimiter?
With a 4 channel amp does the spark energy reduce when using all channel compaired to using just one channel?
Where can i get Autronic or M&W ignitions?

Thanks guys. hope to hear form ya

Neither. It's an ECU driven CDI system. Whatever the ECU tells it to do, it does.

Neither. It too, is an ECU driven CDI.

Since you're not firing 4 channels simultaneously, the spark energy is the same. The Autronic 500R and M&W Pro-14R both feature dual charge capacitors. CDI systems with only one charge capacitors cannot be used on rotary engines with split trailing ignition. There isn't enough time between the lead and trail ignition events to recharge a single capacitor to fire the latter event. CDI boxes with two charge capacitors toggle between them thus allowing the same CDI box to take the place of two single capcitor CDIs.

I handle both Autronic and M&W Ignitions products. PM me off the list, or call (817) 719-1862.

Be careful what you believe as far as spark energy claims. I can assure you that the M&W Ignitions box will provide all the spark energy you'll ever need, and then some. What's more critical than any spark energy claims, is longevity and reliablilty. I have no first hand experience with Mallory ignition products, however I've always regarded them to be somewhat inferior to MSD products. I steadfastly refuse to use MSD CDI boxes on anything. . . . . what does that tell you? The cost of the M&W and Autronic ignition systems is higher than the Mallory and MSD stuff, but the quality easily justifys the difference in cost. Time after time, I've proven my point that MSD ignitions almost always lose power versus a properly working STOCK ignition system. I've seen too many examples of MSD boxes fail, leaving people stuck on the side of the road, etc. The very last customer we did an MSD install for had us do a complete Autronic SMC Marine system for his turbocharged personal watercraft. The MSD box crapped out while he was riding on the OCEAN several miles from shore. Luckily, his friend was riding with him and towed him back to the beach. Lesson learned? If you're going to use non OEM ignition system, buy the very best you can afford.

Anyway, back to your regularly scheduled programming. . . .
