Why are these cages so cheap? anyone bought from em? they also claim they fit the 88-92 fc's. there other fab stuff looks pretty clean and tidy too.

their 8pt roll bar is just under 200 bucks! It also looks like they also offer custom services. so im pretty sure you could take a few measurements and talk to someone over the phone to make sure itll fit right, if not im sure theyll modify it in some way.

because all they are selling you for $200+shipping is tubing. the main hoop has a generic bend in it, and the main hoop is probably a shitty fit.

obviously there selling you only bent tubing. but im pretty sure if you took some measurements down and drew something up and called them, they could change the main hoop and some other things. Sure they might charge you more, but it still seems cheap for an 8 pt, esp if you have a hook up on some welding skillz..

edit: im pretty good with autocad, maybe thats why it doesnt seem that hard to just draw something up and give em a call..

There is no way that price will be for DOM tubing. Make sure any rules you may have will allow ERW tubing, it is probably half the price of DOM.

That 8 pt cage is still a roll bar to most sanctioning bodies.

will do. whats erw stand for? to be honest ive never even herd of that abbreviation..

edit: nvm. google works wonders:

Full form of ERW is Electric Resistance Welded (ERW) Pipe
Pipe made from strips of hot-rolled steel which are passed through forming rolls and welded. While seamless pipe is traditionally stronger and more expensive than comparable ERW pipe, ERW technology is improving and the technique now accounts for approximately 48% of OCTG shipments by tonnage.
