PM scalliwag and ask him about the diff mount. i believe its $60-$80, but i dont recall. it completely eliminated wheelhop on someone else's car he told me about. the installation is supposed to be a bitch, but it may be everything youre looking for.

i have no complaints about my alpine deck... i don't think i've heard it skip once yet, and i've had it for about a year now...

Well no after market guage is plug and play.

You have two type you can buy.

Mechanical and Electrical.
Mechincal boost guages would have a line connected to the manifold coming into your car while an elctrical one has a sensor on the manifold and a wire just comes into the car.

Now pinion snubber is somehting you will want once you break your front differential mount.

Search for differential mount on FC's and you'll see what I mean.

I've broken 2.
The second time I broke the mount on the frame and not the rubber Welding occured after that mistake.

It comes with different options of colors you can make the light. Normally its just the normal whitish color, but then it comes with a red or green cover thing you can put over the bulb to change the color, however my friend put the red one on hoping it would match the lights, and it does at night, but at dusk its pinkish until its fully dark out.

hi dDuB,

i have a question on how u do the wiring for the gauges. how do u get the other end of the wires to the different parts of the car u want the gauges to read? do u have to drill a hole thru the firewall?

do u have to hoist the car?

also, whats the real definition of tapping something in to connect the wire. ill prolly get it pro installed, but just wondering.

thanks,
Carlos

There are holes in the firewall already with tubes going through that have gromets to seal them. Pull the gromet through one side and then run the wire under the gromet (between the gromet and tube) to the engine bay then put the gromet back in. Most of the time you'll need to put a butt connector on the wire that comes with the gauge and add extra wire cuz it wont be long enough. Let me know if you need more clarification.

As for tapping, example would be water temp gauge. One way to do this is the drill a hole into the coolant filler neck (take the neck out first) and then use a tap (thing that will thread the hole so you can screw something into it) the hole. You will need the proper sized hole drilled and then tapped. Normally it's like 1/8" NPT. Then you will screw in the "Temp Sender" that comes with the gauge. Once the gauge is in you connect the wire that goes to the gauge on the end of the temp sender, this goes on with a ring connector and will have a nut go over the top to hold it down.
