$200 Alt!?
just got home from the parts store... wass looking at getting an FD Alt for the mod, but the unit is $200 with a core swap. not to mention the pully is gona run me about $50.
anyone know a cheaper way to boos my system's power?
i think it's my ignition controller that's pulling too much. or could it be another problem?
for refrence:
my FC alt test's out as good. both on a load test and out of the car, and the batery was bought a couple weeks ago.never had any problems with the setup in the 6 months i've owned the car, and now this.
i've tried searching but the results always say to get a new Alt, but mine tests good...
ehh... i'm just lost

I got mine from alternator starter express. Its 142 for an FD alternator. That price includes the core charge already. Since you can't send them an FC core when you buy an FD core you just have to eat the price. They gave me great service and have a good long warranty. You will need to modify your pulley.
