Autometer fuel pressure

I can't seem to get the damn gauge working. I hooked it per Autometer instructions (both ways) and it reads either nothing or straight zero. Any suggestions?

That's interesting. Is it a mechanical gauge? Where are you patched into the fuel line? No reading at all? None? With the engine running? Or??????????

It's a Autometer 2 1/16" electrical gauge. I have the sender Tee'd in to the outlet of the fuel filter to the engine rail. The car runs normal and my air/fuel ratio ratio is showing normal readings as well.
