gauge cluster info..help
yo dave, you seem like the resourceful one around here. can you post what fuses are supposed to go in the stock fusebox next to the clutch pedal. for the 87 turboII
im not sure if i have the right fuse in. but lets say its supposed to be like 10 for example and there is a 20 in there would it work?
my fuel gauge wont work
when are you going to finish your rebuild write up. i need someone to give me some extra confidence to do it myself
thanks

Well, I am not quite sure on this one. Rude said that he removed the dash, then replaced it. That is a totally different ballgame than just taking out the gauge cluster and replacing it. There are TONS of wires behind that dash, and any of them could be pinched or crimped, and bare wire etc...
The fuses that go to the dash stuff should be listed on the cover to the fuses. Just read them and if it is part of the dash then that is a fuse that is used
I went through the FSM on my site and this is what I found. Go to the site and look at the last section of the manual. It is the wiring diagram. THen go to page 50-40 and 50-41 and that will show you where the fuel level connects. Anyone got their stock fuse block cover and could list the fused links or take a pic and post it? My 86 TII is in LA, and my car here is a 91 so it won't help since they are different I think. You can do that with the larger fuse, but you risk overheating a wire and setting something on fire. It is best to use the correct fuses.
I am going to address the motor in another thread to follow in mear minutes
