automatic unflood?

hi, im looking to buy an 87 N/a automatic. its flooded. do i unflood it like a 5spd? take out EGI? or is there some special way. thanks for the help!

Yes you can unflood it like any other fc. Are you sure its flooded?

transmission is not going to matter a bit when you are unflooding an engine. unflood as you would an FC. if you are going to use atf in the plug holes, make sure you replace your plugs after you get the engine started and unflooded.

most people these days prefer regular motor oil over atf

either atf or conventional engine oil will work just fine. i will use either. it just depends on what i feel like doing.
