Automatic Trans fluid change??

Can any of you guys help with do's and don'ts of changing the auto trans fluid. The car is a 94 FD but there are appartently not enough to get a complete response in the FD section and I though you might be more helpful. I did a search but most were on how the trans doesn't work perfectly or some other problem(which I am trying to avoid) I'm looking for a how to or any advice. I already got taking it to a quick change place and having it sucked out and pumped in but I would much rather do it my self then turn it over.
Thanks.

Not too sure about FD's, but generally: Loosen drain plug, let the fluid drain, put plug back in, add correct amount of fluid. But if you dont have a drain plug, (like some mustangs I've seen), you'll have to take the pan off, and fluid will pretty much go everywhere. Might as well change the filter while you're in there. Put RTV sealant around the edge of pan, and put the pan back on in correct bolt sequence, add correct amount of fluid.
