automatic to stick

how hard is it to swap an auto with a manual tranny? found a nice rx7 its automatic. planning on buying a complete turbo swap with 5 sped tranny. how hard would it be to switch the two?

You have to build new mounts for the transmission cross member. The rest of the stuff is easy. I don't know why they couldn't use the same cross member, but they didn't.

the swap is easy and strait forward but once done their was a plug on the auto tranni it has 3 prongs you need to cut the head on and hook 2 of the wires together to get ird of the nutral safty switch so you can crank the car. the 3rd wire is your reversie lights mjust PM me later for more info i have just completed this swap less than 24hours ago.

It shouldn't be too hard. My friend did his auto to manual on his S14 with just him and one other guy in 2 days 6 hours a day.
