I have a 91 RX-7 (duh) auto non turbo and the damn thing just doesn't want to take off anything after 2000rpm and it is good to go. If anyone can help me out with this please do. I'm tired of guys in hopped up honda's taking me off the line.

Swap to a 5-speed.

Otherwise, hold the brake and rev it to 1200 or so and floor it as you let off. That's your best bet for a decent automatic launch. Unfortunately the lack of torque with a non-turbo rotary doesn't make for the best of launches, especially in auto...

so swap.
