auto tranny to manual swap

auto tranny to manual swap
Please help. I have a 88 gxl auto,swaping the automatic tranny to manual. The support don't fit, how do I get it to fit?. Is there a kit for it?.Thanks

OK thats his screen name, go to search, put it in "search for member" or something like that (it is the search box on the right).
Then find his name in a thread, and under were anyone posts it says "PM" (meaning private mesage) And you can get ahold of him like that.
But if you are putting a manual tranny into an auto, as long as you use the auto tranny's cross member it should bolt straight to the regulat mount, because I am pretty sure they are all the same.

Yes, you need what's called a "crossmember adapter." Kevin Landers used to offer one for a reasonable price, but I understand now that he no longer does this. He does, however, have instructions on how to make one here( http://www.rotaryresurrection.com/5speed.html ). I'm sure with a little more poking around, you can find someone who makes them prefabricated for you. Good luck with the swap!
