well i really dont want to do a manual swap because well.....um..... yeah.. i cant drive a stick.. the only reason that id like to swap would be for more powe......and the hold button keeps ur rpms high.. say like if u push the hold button when ur going up hill, it will keep ur rpms high that way u can get up the hill faster

the manual swap thing is a joke... everyone likes to hate on autos. the hold button turns off overdrive... i think. i have a OD switch on my s4 tho.

i don't think you're going to find what you're looking for and if you did it would be expensive. every car i've seen with that stuff on the shifter has a different layout of electrical connectors and rods to release the shifter. could be wrong though...

why do you want to change it anyways? the s5 auto shifter looks really cool IMO.

Everyone hates on autos because they suck! They're like training wheels!

Learn how to drive a stick its not hard and its sooooooooooo much more fun and you have sooooooooo much more control of your car.

true... but it's not as easy as learning stick, a swap is expensive and time consuming

anyone gonna talk about the shifter or just hate on autos more? haha

sure i ll talk about it. Get a regular aftermarket shift **** and put it on. Now take the wires that go to the little pushbutton overdrive switch and put a little pushbutton switch on the shifter surround. or just learn how to drive a stick

manual's what messed up my dad's left leg, and autos are so much more convenient it's ridiculous. But then again, manual's so much more fun it's ridiculous. Never seen aftermarket auto ***** before, very interesting...

Aftermarket auto shifters are easy to find, a lot of drag racing is on automatic trannies.

JC Whitney, Jegs, SummitRacing, I'm sure they have SOMETHING that will accomidate you.

An rx-7 clutch is nothing like a mustang clutch, it is twice as soft they are real easy to learn.Try it just buy a 7 with a stick or switch yours over you'll thank all of us afterwards for telling you to do this. by the way my sister has had 2 87 RX-7's she didnt like the auto so she made me find her a stick

It's a little hard to learn to drive a stick when you've got an impatient a$$ hole teaching you. I learned how to teach clutch operation as an MSF instructor. It's all about easing the pedal through a narrow friction zone. Most people give you the impression that once you feel the clutch grab, that's it, let go of the pedal.

Having driven an auto FC and a 5-speed, I can tell you that the auto is pathetic. With a more modern AT, or a clutchless stick, it might be nice, but I'll stick to the 5-speed.
