Angry Attention Vert Owners....

I need a little help here.

I am trying to locate this part or an acceptable replacement.

http://www.onionbeater.net/part.html

I "lost" one and would prefer not to buy the entire latch or entire top if possible. It's the threaded hook that screws into the latch assembly. If anyone has one, knows someone who has one (they want to sell) or know of a replacement part, please let me know.

Thanks,
Darren

You'd probably get better responses from people if you weren't flipping us all off in the pic.

I'm flipping off the part that I lost. See if you can be a little more hypersensitive if you can.

I would think you would be able to order just the rod from the dealer

The Mazda dealership couldn't find that specific part in their parts list. Their best guess was that I would have to buy the entire latch assembly for $210.

Wink Heck, I'll sell you the latch assembly for $200 shipped!!

Seriously, just to be sure what you need, did you loose yours or did you strip the threads somehow. If you stripped the threads, you probably should replace the whole assembly to be safe.

I've got an extra hard top with latch's in my garage. PM me a not embarrasing $ offer or parts trade (prefered), cover shipping, and I'll just send you what you need.

If the whole assembly, need to know which side.

see if you can rip one off from a junk yard if not then you might have to buy a new latch from a dealer

No dice on the local wrecking yard and the dealer wants $210.00 for the latch.

Have you tried the RX7Club Parts for Sale/Wanted forum? I've had some good luck locating parts there.

DOH! No dice. He sent me to Mazmart and they want to sell me the entire latch at the very least (and he doesn't really want to sell that.)

I know he has one at Atlanta RX7. He has 2 vert parts cars - one is my 88 vert parts car (he stores it for me). I know both of the latches on it are complete. I will go over there (not today, probably tomorrow) and pull it myself. Give me a PM.
