Attention: Drivers with S4 Jspec engines

I can't find the brake booster vac for my jspec engine. (No...the line the goes straight up from the UIM is not there.) Where did you get your vacuum from. I don't have time to tap into the manifold. There has to be a tap some where. Maybe I am not looking in the right spot.

My J-spec had a nipple in the rear of the LIM.

I had to install a new longer hose to reach it.

Mine is also on the back upper side of the lower intake. It is about a 1.5 to 2 inch long nipple that is bolted to the side of the intake.

Good to know, i'm getting ready to put in my jspec s4 engine this weekend...

Is there anything else wierd that i should know about the differences? i noticed that the way the emissions and what-nots go on the UIM are completely different. What else is there?

Oh and would it be okay to use my usdm intake manifolds on it? Cuz i'm thinking that would be easier if they are all that different.

yay 100 posts!

Yeah the fuel supply line goes to the PD dampner first if I am correct and the vac lines are a little different.

I went with the J-spec intake manifolds, it was really easy to hook up. Also if you are going to run your stock down pipe you have to change your exhaust manifold.(I found out the hard way)

for me it was the opposite. i had to use the us manifolds. the j-spec brake booster hose faces the other way. watch you will have a spare vacuum on the back side of the motor

You can see the RHD brake booster connection in these photos. It's the square metal fitting on the LIM's rear secondary runner.
