attempted to put on the SS brake lines today....

wow...what a big mistake.....first, all the compression fittings were rusted to hell......getting them off was a real bitch....i even twisted the metal tubs that attaches to the caliper itself.....even though its sorta kinked.....i managed to install the lines with no problems then **** happenes.....i try to bleed the system......wtf is wrong with mazda with the 2 bleeder nipples on the rear calipers?....then the previous owner didnt replace any of the rubber caps....so the rear nipples were rusted...took a good 30 minutes just to try to fit the clear tubing with no air leaks........then on the 4th wheel(driver side) i found out that the bleeder nipple was completely stripped....no biggie i thought.....i got a spare one from autozone that i picked up.....ok....so obviously a 8mm wrench wouldnt work....i try visegrip..and it kept on slipping.....i clamp harder and harder....next thing i know the entire bleeder screw splits in 2....so i thought.....OHHHHH ****...... then i had a friend bring over a set of E Z out figuring i can just that to reverse the rest of the bleeder screw out........plenty of PB blaster and a broken E Z out bit later...........still nothing...and this time..the bit is broken inside the caliper....i dont know what to do.....drilling the entire thing out?....im afride after retaping the thread the new bleeder valve might not fit......i have a spare set of 4 pistons..but they're not in any rebuildable condition......WTF am i suppose to do now??!!....any suggestions?

Lol, all right, get a new (or rebuilt) caliper, and use the one with the easy-out sticking out of the bleeder port for a conversation piece...

That help?

hahahahaa....yeah.......but rebuilt ones are pricy.....especially the driver side......guess which side crapped out on me?.......imma go caliper shopping at the local junkyards and see if i can find any rebuildable cores since i already have a rebuild kit sitting on standby

Something simlar happened to me.. I busted the bleeder valve threads on the front driver side caliper. I just took it to a parts store in the bronx, they took it in as a core and gave me a rebuilt one for $50.
