atf before compression test?

atf before compression test?

im gonna look into a 86 sport as i said in my last post.....its been sitting for 6 monthes...should i put atf in it wait a day then do a compression test? or do the compression test before the atf?

If it has been sitting for 6 months, I would try to start it without the ATF first, then if you have to, then use it just to get it started. You don't want the ATF making the motor seem like it compression tests better than it would without it. I would also have it driven a=for a few days before testing it for accuracy.
