The injectors are controlled by the ECU- is that what you're calling a module???
It sounds like the mechanic doesn't know much about rx-7s...That doesn't bode well for you...

^^^^ hes right! fuel injector modules dont exist on a rx7..... lack of fuel could be caused by bad fuel pump, clogged fuel filter.... bad injectors.... thats about it.... nothing too twisted to figure out! what did he say was wrong??? no fuel pressure?? low pressure??

yah thats the deal, the mech doesnt know too much about the rex, on top of i didnt have much time to dig into the car(only had it for a month till its been in the shop for the past 6 months). i need to know what i can do? is theer something that controls the fuel for the primary injectors and a seperate unit for the secondary, and then a third for the pulsation damper, i've been trying to do as much possible research about this and i cant come up with a certain problem. the reason the car went into the shop is that *while driving* the car shut down,i popped the hood and everything seemed normal except for the trailing ignition wire on the right ignition coil was OFF,asll in all it was like somone switched its electrical switch off. we installed a new ignition and solddered in a a wire for one that was shorted. the starter motor turns over and then nothing. any help would be great, wonderful, awesome...im just so lost and i miss my rx b/c i only had the pleasure to drive it for one month. the car received a total tune up except for the ignition coils. im just baffled b/c i have no simptoms to go from.

i switched out the fuel filter, hadnt had the chance to check the fuel pump or the injectors, and i have no idea how much fuelk the motor is getting or not getting, its a shame that my car is where it is at, b/c i would have more luck with it in my hands

If my car was in the shop for 6 months, I would have had the FSM memorized by now and then walked into the shop and TOLD the mechanic what to do.
Check the FSM wiring diagrams for the starting circuit and how it relates to fuel supply, I think you may find your answer there.

It could be something as simple as a corroded or broken ground terminal on the rear rotor housing, or something as complex as an intermittent short.
Hate to sound mean, but if you can't handle the troubleshooting on these cars, get rid of her, because the mechanic you're trusting to fix it knows less than you do...

i didnt even think of that...it being flooded and all because of how the car died, but i imagine it could be part of the problem now after the initial problem was fixed. No see i live near sevenspeed so a mechanic is no problem, i just had to get a tow to someplace near and my dad ... long story short i wanted to take it somewhere else. i do have the trouble shooting skills to go at this vehicle but the electrical part was taken care of and i didnt know where to go from there. i knew about the flood fix( ive read just about everything on this site, most before i bought the car) but it slipped my mind. thanks for the help, i'm sure you will se me back on here if that doesnt work.

blue smell like smoke was coming out the exhaust while i was going down the hill on 4rth till it started. and it was still smoking after 3-8 mins later.. so i recommend you do the same.. but first..( u need to make sure its getting gas in there,.. when you put the ignition on you should be able to hear the gas pump. after u make sure its getting gas in there, check your flow meter.. see if its clean.
