ok so after i changed the raidator and the t stat and bought new rad caps..i was taking it out for a spin today to check it out and like 20 minutes into the drive the gauge starts climbing slow..but it starts..and then like its getting to the half point..and im like ok its normal..and then the 5-0 lights come up and im like crap what i do..and i turn off the car and i get out and as soon as i turn to the police he says look! and i look and there's like a whole bunch of steam coming out of the hood!! and im like sh*t!!! as soon as i turned it off it did that...so i got pulled over and my car doesnt work!!! so i stay with the police talkin about 15 minutes and i get the ticket for going "fast" (like 5 miles over the speed limit on a 15 mile road) and when i turn on the car..the gauge is at 1/4, and it stays like that for the ride home..but what's up with my car..?

yes it was, i checked it twice..

 

pressure cap might be too small

 

Did you replace all your hoses with new ones during the swap? Stop hoses may have cracks in them and may need replacing. The problem have have ceased for now, but i'd reccomend checking over everything again and making sure you have all your air out of the system.
