Argh- I need help with my idle
I own an 87 turbo 2 that will not idle while it is halfway warmed up- but when it reaches it's operating temp, it idles, but very rough and low. Even then it occasionaly will die. Turning the idle screw on the injection assembly, nor the screw that adjusts the rich and lean seem to do anything. It has an HKS fuel cut defencer installed when the engine was replaced- would this cause the problem?

whats the maintenace history on this baby - you ever put plugs in it? how long has the rebuild been up and running?
have you checked for vac leaks?
what kind of mods does this thingg have - only an FCD?
need more info

Well, it's pretty stock other than having a racing beat downpipe and presilencer, and the plugs and wires were put in when I had the engine replaced. (less than 1500 miles ago.) I brought it back to the shop, and they told me the lean- rich screw was broken. They put in a new one and "tuned" the car, but it is worse than when I brought it in. Once warm, it alternates between 800- 400-(?) near dying, then goes back up to around 800. All in all, it runs quite strong other than that. But here in Washington, it would be nice to let the car idle and warm up without it dying all the time. Thanks for your feedback!!
