Apexi S-afc, what can it do for me?

With a stock fuel system, will the s-afc be able to supply the goods? And does it have a a/f monitor built in or do i need to get one seperately? Can anyone give me a good reason to buy this thing?

I would replace the secondaries with at least 720cc injectors.
You will also need to purchase a seperate AF gauge.

I was wondering the same thing. I've read all about it, but why do I need it?

I don't think they come with a A/F monitor.

With an NA, it might pick up small gains in the midrange (maybe about 5hp max).&nbsp It's really meant for turbos (with larger fuel injectors) - this gives it the most flexibility.&nbsp I'd recommend other mods for your NA besides the S-AFC...

Isn't this information archived somewhere?

With any rotyary (especially an NA), you need to open the exhaust - open exhaust usually means more noise!

Work on the intake and exhaust first.&nbsp If you can get away with emissions, a header will help a lot.

After that, I would suggest a CDI box - the Crane Cams HI-6 is my personal favorite.

After that, it gets expensive.&nbsp I'd opt with a lightened flywheel and/or streetport motor.&nbsp Either is going to cost you some serious cash...

ted-i would love to hear your .02 about exhaust upgrades.there has been some long discussions here about true duals/collected at rear axle/etc.what do you recomend?i have spoken to a # of diferent people, and have heard a different idea from every one off'em.at this point,i'm leaning towards true duals, with rb presilencers, and running walker turbo mufflers,to keep cost[and noise,i'm told]down.i do understand, that if u run duals, its important that both runs are the same lenght, and,i guess fine tunning the lenght can make a change.anyway,if you have any input,i would love to hear it!thanks!

The S-AFC can be used as an A/F gauge. You have to tap the factor 02 wire before it goes into the ECU . Forgot what color wire on the S-AFC harness you uses. But you can moniter the voltage of it under "Sensor Check". It is INT-2.

When it comes to NA exhaust tech, I default to Racing Beat.&nbsp If you've never seen the Racing Beat catalog, try and get your hands on one!&nbsp There's a lot of GREAT information, and RB has the experience to back their advice.&nbsp It sounds like you're on the right track - going with a true dual is expensive, but it gets you the most gains of any other type of exhaust system...

I have done this, if memory serves me rights it's the blue wire on the S-AFC.

I already have most of the mods you metioned above, I was hoping you would give me a next logical step for my car. My sig was on my original post but I don't like to post it every time.

The HI-6 seems like a good idea; does it need to be tuned? or does it just boost the spark?

P.S. please keep us posted on when your web page will be up

Nope, any CDI box just needs to be installed - no tuning necessary!&nbsp Yes, it boosts the power of the ignition spark.

I'll keep the entire forum informed on the web page!
