Apexi GT Catback Question

im a little stumped right now i just bought a apexi gt catback exhaust system and im coneverting to single instead of dual now i understand im losing a little weight but (i still have the stock exhaust manifold but there is a rb header and presilencer purchase in the neer future) would it have less resistance since there is no Y-pipe or is there really not much of a difference. i was told since i am going to single the exhaust would have less resistance since there is no y pipe.
