Apexi Dual N1

Hey guys I've been debating over which cat-back to get for my GXL and have come down to the decision that I think I'm going with the Apexi Dual N1 system. I've seen some decent pictures but I haven't really heard too many sound clips. So to all Dual N1 owners, post up your sound clips and please list what set up you have. My GXL is all stock and I will be running just the cat-back until I can get an RB header and presilencer. Also, where's the cheapest you've been able to find this system? Thanks alot guys

I have a video of them on my laptop. I'll upload it and PM you when it's up. I have no clue what other modifications are on the car. I hear it can be loud?

I can't say what a dual would sound like, but my single N1 is way loud.

MAybe because the only restriction you have is the stock manifold? That would certainly be too loud for my taste, I know as I ran my FC on open manifold for a little while since my exhaust was broke at the time. As for wingsofwar, if I recall wasn't this straight thru as well as you didn't have a cat on the car yet? I still have all the pre-cats and main cat still intact

A little??? it doesn't compare. If you have no cats and N1 duals then you should expect some hearing loss.

LOL. I'll have all the cats in tact for a while until I get an RB header and presilencer. Anybody ever use the silencer inserts that come with(or supposed to come with) the duals?

they don't help much. It should sound pretty nice with all your cats.

My buddy has an N1 muffler on his 240 and its an automatic, with stock EVERYTHING except the muffler and it is the loudest god dam exhaust i have ever heard. Cars are cool when they're loud but i prefer the "medium" type of loud. I dont really like how loud the N1 system is but i dont really like the stock system either, so i went in the middle with the Racing Beat True Dual system. The RB system is really expensive and its kinda heavy but i really really like it, it has a distinct sound. I would not recommend the true dual system tho, lots of benefits but you can get something just as good for cheaper, with different sound.

Which exhaust is nets better gains overall, the Racing Beat catless, or the Apexi Dual N1's?

well catless (RB true dual) since the N1 system is a catback.

Its not as loud as you make it sound. Open downpipe for 6 hours is loud though. If your afraid about the sound at all just get something else your run silencers in the tips.

the resonators make the duals reverberate and HURT. Open pipes is ONE step above N1 duals. If he's really concerned about his hearing I recommend he at least keep 1 cat. Open pipes + N1 duals = pain.

I've ran an open header 12A and open manifold 13B, just insanly loud and no power in the low end at all. Maybe I'll run the Dual N1's for a good while with everything stock and then when I'm ready for header and all, I'll jump on the RB true duals. I hear the low end torque from the true duals is insane(for an N/A RX-7 of course LOL)
