It's got three settings: quiet, average, and slightly loud.

It's not as loud as the Blitz supersound, but it won't boost leak like the blitz does either.

Because of the twin-chamber design of the A'Pexi, you won't have to worry about boost leak. When I had my Biltz BOV, I could only run .8 kilos before it would start leaking. When I got my A'pexi, I turned my boost up, turned my fuel up and raced away

Alright so theres a good comment. Is there any better BOV though? What about a louder one? You know how rotaries go so the BOV needs to be loud for me. How about an HKS one? Thanks alot.

The Greddy Type R is a good one. Not too loud, but if you're going big single turbo, definitely worth it. Or you could get two apexi bov's, that combo works well also.

Of course, louder is not better, but the loudest one that I've seen and heard is the Blitz BOV. If I didn't already have the A'Pexi, I'd get the Greddy Type R.

The Greddy type R however does not come in a kit for stock intercooler FC's. There's going to be some fabrication needed....

...Lots of factors. Just depends on how much you want to boost

I've got the Apexi bov and it's pretty loud at the highest setting. It's a pretty boring sound though

Whats so boring about it? I just want it pretty loud where you can hear it pretty well, even with the sound of the engine. Any louder ones besides the Blitz?

Alright so it sounds good at high boost then? Thats good at least. Do you have yours set on the loudest setting grimlock? All I know is I saw a TII at the races sat and the guy just went around the corner at the gas station, switched to 2nd and I heard it from pretty far away and you know there were other people reving.

Blow off valves conserve the life of your turbine, and help spool up between shifts. Any extra boost will turn into vacuum and go towards the turbine during deceleration. This will in turn try push the compressor wheel in the opposite direction, shortening the life of your turbine and making it harder for it to spool back up.

FC's have a stock "relief-valve" which is the same thing as a bov, but not as loud. The A'Pexi is not the "COOLEST" sounding BOV, but it is definitely one of the better ones. Under WOT, and with boost above .6 kilos, the BOV sounds good.

If you want loudness, go with Blitz Super Sound or Turbo XS Type H. If you want better quality I can tell you I am happy with my HKS SS blow off. It's sound is distinguishable between the rest. My friend has a Greddy Type R in his 7 with 350 rwhp and says it handles the boost very well.

yeah, i have it at the loudest setting! you should be happy with it!

i got a ? there's a nut at the end to adjust the spring in the chamber. i have it all the way tight. does anyone know if thats the best setting or should i loosen it a bit. keep in mind i want the best performance.

DO NOT LOOSEN THE NUT ON THE END!!! You want it tight. If you take apart the BOV, you'll understand how the A'pexi works. I took apart mine recently because mine was "sticking" open and releasing air underboost because the spring wasn't lubricated enough. I opened it up, cleaned it with brake cleaner, then sprayed some liquid grease into it and put it back together. Now it works Great!
