Apexi With Active Tail Silencer (Pics!)

So a week ago i was wondering if i was going to get the ATS for the Apexi N1

now, i got it, results were good. the car got MUCH quieter even more so than the stock silencer.

at higher speeds the restrictions was much less. I feel it being close to without the sliencer on but with the ATS on, the low end torque did improve.

here are the pics, enjoy!

wow actually that's pretty cool.

Although any backpressure needed to open something like that up still sucks for turbo's.

woah. Never mind. For that price I'd just live with it and save up for RB's.

if anything, by adding backpressure after the turbo is BAD; i seriously doubt you see any low-end torque difference. you might just want to believe there is more low-end torque probably.

Hmm never seen it before. I think I'd just stick with no silencer, I hate silencers personally :|

as i said before, i'm getting too old

and well since i've been looking for an upgrade to the PS revolution muffler, (which by the way is getting pretty popular in japan for circuit and street) i saw this as an alternative

of course, the PS revolution muffler has an internal chamber (kinda like those traditional "turbo" style mufflers) but the valve is very similar than this silencer design...

well IF you believe the Apexi dyno graph, then the torque and power spec is very close to having no silencer at all

but of course this wouldn't be too accurate unless i go dyno my car...

on the road, it is VERY quiet..... almost to a stock level...
My friend and I raced on the street, and ran 9.8 Psi (.7) bars and he can't hear my car

so for a mix of comfort and performance... i think it is really worth it
