Apexi ATS for N1 exhaust

Ok, since i have the Apexi N1 Exhaust, and everyone knows that is lound as hell....
I looked for an alternative for putting the silencer in to my exhaust....

lol i laugh when people say the N1 is too loud, to me, mine is hella quiet compared to the previous exhausts ive had, i have a totally different scale of loud than most though good luck quietening it down and mine is n/a with a header/mid pipe so its even louder than it would be on a turbo

yeah, but at 20 years old.... even i have to say i think i'm getting too old.....

having N1 without silencer + girlfriend = disaster.....

so i mean when i am not on the track i put on the silencer.... when i go, i take it off.....
and every time i take it off it feels so much better.... except for the noise....
since i am those people who put on the silencer already, might as well put one on that is "less" restrictive.... =)

i don't know.... either i go this route, or get a Apexi PS revolution muffler.... that has an active valve in it also.... but that cost 700~900 comparing to 150 or so...

then you have obviously never been in an OPEN PIPED NA FC with DUAL APEX-i N1s.......you won't be laughing after a 2000+ mile trip......TRUST ME

Yeah, I drove 1700 miles on my TII that had no cat and N1 Duals. I wore the headsets I wore in the airplane. And my mom wore ear plugs.

It gets annoying so damn quick.

I love it though....lets make an exhaust so loud....we can make coin off of selling silencers

but don't u guys think 150 dollars for a silencer is a little too much? (unless u count in the active valve that is somewhat a performance gain ^_^)

I bought the normal silencers when I bought my N1 duels, what a wasts or money. I put the N1's on when I had my cats on still and it was not to much louder then stock, then I got a RB downpipe and put a stright pipe in where the cat was and now all I hear is people saying its loud but it sounds good (even at the Rotary Rev.), so I have not really ever put in my silencers in for more then a few hours. I guess since you have the single N1's it makes its alot louder but I can't imagin it being all that loud with a turbo in the line. I guess it all up to the driver on how loud is too loud. I would just buy a normal silencer for alot less and just pull it out when you are going to run it, but if you do buy it let us know how it works out, any Apex'i product is going to be good quality.

how would it affect the turbo with all the backpreasure it would create on an OPEN piped TII with N1 style muffler? I should just save to buy the RB catback

lol you obviously havent been in a straight 2.5" piped n/a with NO mufflers i had mine like that for probably 6 months, talk about loud, thats way louder than it would be with the n1 on a straight pipe, which is my setup right now, header with 2.5" pipe and the N1, which is quiet to me, although on a trip i do agree, when i took my car with the N1 on a 200 mile trip it took my ears like 15-20 mins to adjust so i could hear again haha, but yet if you take it on road trips quiet is nice, but just in town and at the track its great and my wife loves the way it sounds so i no need quiet she has her vert anyways lol

You need a few new g/fs, and get rid of the APEXI also. People who keep saying that turbos quiet things down are so full of **** it isn't funny.. I have a 3" Thunder Fabrications DP/MP and a Corksport Catback, and I can't listen to music unless it's blaring, and I also can't talk to people in my car. I love the weight and performance of my 3" single exhaust, but I'm switching over to the RB Catback personally.

compared to an open-pipe NA, the open-pipe turbo is quieter.

I say you get a credit card, buy the RB cat-back(or turbo back being better), sell then N1, and use that to start paying off the turbo-back.
