how do you know when your apex seals start going?

Well, at least 2 out of 3.

Also, the idle goes to crap, the engine shakes alot, it sounds different when it's running, and there is a huge loss of power.

aight thanx..because when i first start it up sometimes it smokes real lightly..but after it warms up it stops..this guy was like when it smokes like that it means your apex seals are going..i just said whatever..

Umm, it is supposed to smoke for the first couple of minutes after a cold start up. That is completely normal.

It will also seem to smoke more if you have an aftermarket exhaust on it.

Don't worry about it.

And the smoke is not supposed to happen, it just does after these engines get a few miles on them.
