lol, ouch. You might be on to something there; mazda being headquartered in hiroshima of all places. The only problem here is that mazda is owned by ford, so we should be getting great deals.

well not really, ford has nothing to do with the rotary portion of mazda and being that the rx7 plant is in heroshima (sp) I think this would add to thier reasonin behind thier United States over "taxation" of rotary parts. But if they where at all a fair country, you would think that maybe since they bombed pearl harber while we where not even in the war and where not going to be in the war and killed hundreds of soldiers and destroyed countless boats and suckered us into the war and ultimately in the end bringing us to drop the big one on them, that maybe just maybe they would pay us to take those parts

well why would they be fair? almost every car is a turbo which is the exact oppisite over here. they also may just cant let go of thier grudge with the US like "filthy american think thier so smart with an A bomb, HAH well show them" or something like that i guess

The reason why apex seals and other components of the engines are so expensive is because they don't want Mazda of North America having alot of competition on rebuilding rotary engines. The plants that remanufactor transmissions and engines actually get huge discounts on parts.
