Anyway to tell if you put the counterweight on correctly?

Changing out the clutch on flywheel and just want to know if there is a way to tell that the counterweight is going on correctly? I've searched and found that there are two ways it can go on but nothing that I saw ever mentioned how to tell? Maybe it will be obvious once I get down there and do it? any and all help is appreciated thank you.

It only goes one way.
Just check that the key stays in place as you install it.

It's obvious.
The "snout" goes in toward the engine.
