Most likely you have a small leak in the heater core allowing antifreze to vaporize and irritate your eyes. The two most common signs of a core leak are crap on the interior windshied and windows that does not like to come off and eye irritation.

Right you are, Kenny. Check for tiny exhaust leaks near your exhaust manifold.

on my way to florida from ny, i had the same problem, but only when my window was down. what the hell! i kinda made my own ghetto exhaust till i get a apexi or greddy. but no cats on her and she burns rich. but when i role up my window it seems to go away. sometimes it was so bad that i had to pull over cuz my eyes were watering so bad and hurting.
